Ganesha, the son of Shiva and Parvati(not pictured here). Snapped this in a workshop full of Ganesha(s), if you look just in the back you can see unpainted versions. I got this info from here, 'He is the Lord of success and destroyer of evils and obstacles. He is also worshipped as the god of education, knowledge, wisdom and wealth.'. Sounds good to me. There is a big festival featuring Ganesha starting very soon. I've been told that a giant Ganesha will be carried and submerged into the sea. Suppose to be a spectacular event...hope I don't miss it because of work!
