Footprints...

Thursday, September 07, 2006

This picture was taken from the top of Rockafeller Center, Empire State straight ahead and Times Square super bright to the bottom right.
Here on the Moose river at low tide, the secrets of the sand revealed to whom ever happens to pass by. A few hours later, everything was submerged. This is what happens in northern regions of Canada while we all run around trying to make ends meet. It was my moment of Zen.

For the Scooby-Doo adventurer in all of us, abandoned factories in small Polish towns. Not a bad way to waste a few hours on an overcast day. We weren't trying to solve any mysteries, would've been nice to pull the mask off some garden variety ghoul just to find an embittered grounds keeper who was using some intricate system of pulleys, lights, mirrors and speakers to keep people away so he could run his counterfeit money scheme in secret. Scooby snacks anyone?

Kitchen at work. Amazing food is made here, lunch has a serious reputation in this part of town. I can't say for sure...there was a time when if it wasn't for the food provided at work, I may not have survived my stays in Warsaw. Dishes are similar to what you might find at home and the soups are my favorite part of the whole experience. Usually there are leftovers. So, in the evening you can sneak into the kitchen and set yourself up with a serious plate of food to get you through to the next day. Flower in the coke bottle, nice touch.

Did ya notice how my right pant leg is rolled up...it's cause I was bikin' when I took that picture. Just on the outer edges of Ardrie, AB. Nothing like a dirt road and a sunset for a self protrait.Rural Alberta, big sky country. Another accidental self portrait. It was so nice, first time I had been on my bike in well over a year. More please....Last one...its the stuff fences are made with. Gotta keep those cows from wandering off.
